FWC Lt. Vann Streety will be our keynote speaker. Lt. Streety was shot in the line of duty while attempting to make an arrest in rural Brevard County last year.
A free SLECA-sponsored training event will take place after the awards ceremony. "The Danger Zone - Body Language Techniques for Officer Survival" is a two-hour class and will be open to all law enforcement, corrections and emergency medical personnel. You do not have to be a SLECA member to attend this training.
